The selection of wood species is of utmost importance to a room’s mood. Several wood species are available for Kolbe windows and doors, including less common and exotic wood species. Wood is sourced from managed forests; FSC-COC certified wood is available.
For units that are ready to install upon delivery, Kolbe’s wood windows and doors can be prefinished on the interior with a variety of water-based stains or paints. Stained units are given two coats of satin finish clear sealer. Because interior finishes are water-based, low-VOC stains and paints, you can rest assured you’ve made an environmentally conscious decision.
For the ultimate in durability and design flexibility, Kolbe’s VistaLuxe Collection and Ultra Series extruded aluminum clad products are finished with fluoropolymer coating in 44 vibrant colors. With all of these choices, you are sure to be able to find the perfect color for your project. However, if for some reason you can’t find what you need, Kolbe can do any custom color as well.
Kolbe’s Heritage Series wood products can be coated on the exterior with K-Kron II, a high performance finish that offers a low-maintenance way to enhance and preserve the look of wood windows and doors.
Through various styles and finish choices, Kolbe’s hardware options are designed to function effectively while complementing the style of your space and matching the look you’ve chosen for your windows and doors.
A hardware style for every project. Besides finish choices, Kolbe offers a wide range of styles of handle types, pulls, and more. Whether its their double hung sash lift handles, TerraSpan Lift & Slide door handles, or spoon sash locks, they ensure every detail of your window or door is addressed.
Divide the light that enters through your windows and doors by creating unique configurations with various widths, colors and profiles of divided lite bars. Some divided lites can replicate historically-accurate designs while others can add that finishing touch in contemporary projects.
