This month, we’re excited to share a dramatic kitchen transformation that proves a well-designed kitchen isn’t just about size—it’s about style, functionality, and smart use of space. This stunning kitchen renovation demonstrates that luxury can be achieved without a massive footprint or an extravagant budget.
Originally built in 1995, this home was given new life when the homeowners purchased it as their summer retreat. With a complete renovation, they preserved its classic Cape charm while infusing it with fresh, modern functionality. The kitchen was transformed through the collaboration of Horner Millwork kitchen designer Mike Sollecito and the homeowner, a talented freelance interior designer. Together, they crafted a space that seamlessly blends modern convenience with timeless appeal.
The homeowners selected Kemper Cabinets, a high-quality yet moderately priced cabinet line, allowing them to achieve a luxury look without the expense of fully custom cabinetry. The kitchen’s design maximizes every inch, integrating gourmet appliances, built-in cabinetry, and clever storage solutions to create a sophisticated space that feels both modern and classic.
A Muli-Functional Hidden Gem // Beyond the kitchen, a once-simple coat closet was transformed into an ultra-functional beverage bar and laundry station. With a built-in beverage cooler, coffee station, wall cabinets, and cleverly integrated storage for a full-sized washer and dryer, this small space now serves multiple purposes without sacrificing style.
Thank You // We are grateful to the homeowners for choosing Horner Millwork to be part of this incredible transformation and for allowing us to photograph their home. Their vision, combined with Mike Sollecito’s expertise, resulted in a kitchen that is as stylish as it is functional. A special thank you as well to Peirce Home Improvement, Inc. for their outstanding craftsmanship in bringing this renovation to life.

Horner Millwork also provided Captiva MDF interior doors throughout the home, including a fire-rated door leading to the garage that seamlessly blends with the rest of the interior doors, ensuring safety, code compliance, and a cohesive design.
As part of the renovation, Horner Millwork supplied new stair parts to give the staircase a fresh, updated look.
