This month’s featured project from our 2024 Horner Wall Calendar highlights a gorgeous kitchen transformation that blends modern design with innovative storage solutions. Originally built in the early 2000s, this kitchen was transformed to reflect the homeowners’ vision of a sleek, contemporary space. Collaborating closely with PGR Construction, Mike Sollecito in Horner Millwork’s Kitchen Design Center designed a streamlined kitchen that now serves as the heart of the home.

A Balance of Warmth and Modern Styling //  For this project, we chose Covered Bridge Cabinetry to provide a harmonious blend of natural warmth and modern styling. The lower cabinets and island are crafted from solid walnut with a deep, dark stain that anchors the kitchen in rich, earthy tones. The upper cabinets, finished in a bright white painted maple, provide a striking contrast, accentuated by matching quartz countertops that carry through to the adjacent fireplace surround for seamless flow.

Creating Visual Harmony //  This remodel was designed with meticulous alignment as its guiding principle. From the stove’s centerline to the island sink and the fireplace, each element is purposefully positioned to create continuity between the kitchen and living room. This thoughtful design brings balance to the kitchen and seamlessly connects it to the adjoining living space.
