Modern Staircase
Throughout our 44-year history of building stairs here in New England traditional wood stairs have reigned supreme. Turned balusters, box newels, and primed risers have been hallmarks of traditional New England architecture. More recently we’ve seen a shift in demand to a more modern European style staircase often utilizing open risers, low profile metal railings, and glass or cable balustrades. New in our photo gallery is the beautiful Marretti Staircase that our Cooper Stairworks team recently completed. This stair features floating sapele mahogany treads with open risers, stainless steel hardware, and a glass balustrade.
On the exterior of this modern-styled home we also provided cable railing so the homeowner could see the beautiful view.
