JLC Live Recap + Photos
That’s a wrap! After two exciting days, Friday-Saturday, March 23-24, in a blink of an eye the 2018 JLC Live Residential Construction Show has come to a close. Many Horner team members agree that JLC Live is always one of our favorite trade shows of the year. The energy inside the convention hall is electric with the hustle and bustle of enthusiastic exhibitors, crowded aisles, and the murmur of how-to clinics all around. JLC Live draws a wide spectrum of attendees: the best pro builders from around the region, vocational students eager to learn, and do-it-yourself enthusiasts looking to hone their skills. We found this year’s show busier than ever – a welcomed sign of roaring housing market!
A large portion of our booth was devoted to the many products that we manufacturer right here in Somerset, MA. Cooper Stairworks was front and center with a large array of our many unique stair options on display. Cable railing, steel rods, forged balusters, glass panels, metal stringers, and open risers were all on display and are just a few of the custom capabilities in our stair-building arsenal. Dave Silvia was enlightening visitors at our always-popular Zipbolt kiosk on the many virtues of the Zipbolt Rail Bolt system. We also had many doors on display, including our own Captiva Custom Wood Doors, Captiva Fire Rated Doors & Frames, Masonite Fiberglass Doors, and Atlantech Patio Doors. One of our most popular displays was a remote-controlled Phantom Motorized Retractable Screen that made us all long for the spring-like weather that is much overdue.
Many of our favorite vendors also had booths at JLC Live. Masonite’s huge island booth featured some of their contemporary looks including stunning oversized fiberglass doors with modern glass inserts and a beautiful working barn door display, in addition to many more traditional interior and exterior doors.
HB&G showcased some lovely craftsman style columns and a low-maintenance fiberglass pergola.
As always, the WindsorOne Moldings booth was filled with charming moldings, their famously friendly staff, and good cheer! We even spotted our own work in their new Craftsman Style Guide! Thank you WindsorOne for featuring us!
A big thank you to our many customers that attended the show and stopped by our booth to say hello! We look forward to seeing you at JLC Live 2019!
