Horner featured in Builder+Architect Magazine
Congratulations to Santangelo Construction for being chosen Builder+Architect Magazine’s Builder of the Month!
Check out the cover feature of the December 2017 issue of Builder+Architect Magazine for a story on one of our valued customers, Santangelo Construction. The article highlights one of Santangelo’s recent projects, a breathtaking transitional style home in Weston, MA featuring mouldings, Cooper Stairworks stair parts, and TruStile interior doors provided by Horner Millwork. If you’re not familiar with transitional design, it is a marriage of traditional and contemporary architecture and interior design equating to a classic, timeless look. In the article the builder explains that transitional interior design “has evolved from a traditional Colonial style by implementing more open areas while retaining some private spaces.”
One of the millwork details that we love most in this home include the traditional box newels on the staircase and balcony mixed with more modern chamfered square balusters in between. It’s a modern look that will have timeless beauty because of its classical heritage. Also worth celebrating are the gorgeous 3-panel TruStile doors that can be found throughout the home. Many of the closet and passage doors are solid 3-panel, while others have been have the exact same architectural style but utilize frosted glass panels to allow filtered light to pass from one room to the next. In fact, you can customize the look of any TS series TruStile door by substituting any panel for glass, resin, leather, or metal.
