Kolbe is Enhancing Energy Efficient Design with VIG
Kolbe has partnered with LuxWall to bring energy efficient windows and doors to the next level with Vacuum Insulated Glass (VIG). Instead of using air or gas between glass panes as insulation, all air is removed to create a vacuum, limiting the amount of thermal energy that can pass through. Learn how VIG works here.
VIG is currently available in Ultra Series and VistaLuxe ® WD LINE windows and doors, including swinging, folding and sliding styles.
Kolbe’s VIG offerings include:
- LuxWall’s Enthermal™: A vacuum seal is created between two panes of glass (similar to an insulated coffee mug).
- LuxWall’s Enthermal Plus™: A third pane of glass is added for specialty glass options (like tinted or privacy glass).
NEW: STRETTA™ Sliding Door
New to Kolbe’s VistaLuxe Collection WD LINE is the Stretta Sliding Door. With immense glass panels, these doors have uniquely designed rollers to allow for smooth and controlled movement. The VistaLuxe WD LINE has extruded aluminum cladding with over 50 color options (plus custom) on exterior and wood interior in variety of species and finishes.
